Daddy Bob's Brothers and Sisters

Daddy Bob's father, John Thomas Tuggle, had two families. His first wife was Ida Burge. They had five children: Maybelle, Grace, Johnnie, Cecil and Chester. I only have a picture of Aunt Grace from that family. She and Maybelle Swindell Oakley were the only ones I remember.

The second family included five children with Gertrude Williams: Gaston, Ruth, Catherine and Bessie. I believe Ruth died died of typhoid fever August 17, 1903, at the age of twelve.

I just talked to Aunt Mabel's granddaughter, Cherie Palmer. She has pictures to share with me. I will post them when I receive them. How exciting!
L-R: Aunt Bessie Nell Tuggle Jarrell was born May 11, 1913, in Rome, TN. She married and divorced Frank Jarrell. They had one daughter, Billie Jean. Aunt Catherine Gertrude Tuggle Godsey was born November 17, 1910, in Rome, TN. She was married to William Albert Godsey. They had three children: Demetra, Albert and Barry. I see Albert and his wife at the Tuggle gatherings in the summer. I have lost touch all other members of these families.

This is the only picture I can find of Uncle Gaston Ray Tuggle. He was born February 16, 1898. He was married to Pauline Ligon. They had three sons: Edward Perry and Raymond. Uncle Gaston is buried in Wilson County Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, TN.

Aunt Grace Lea Tuggle Williams was Daddy Bob's half-sister. She born October 6, 1893. She married Adolpheus Brooks Williams. They had two children: Lois Evelyn and Claud (this is the way it is spelled) Ray. Aunt Grace lived to one hundred two years old!!! I am not sure where she was buried. I will have to find out.
